Updated my "Outside walls" section right now with my favorite wall from 2011!
In July Glasgow´s Recoat Gallery invited a lot of abstract artists from all over the world for a nice groupshow and a great wall project. I spend 5 days in the center of town of Glasgow, right next to the Nelson Mandela building, between good fun, late nights, bull talking and hanging out, painting in a tunnel corridor with Mark Lyken and Duncan Jago.. Cool session and mad fun!
Seems like LONDON and the Gamma Proforma guys are up for a PART 2 of that insane cool "Rudimentary Perfection" show!!

Here´s a cool little clip from "24 Nordjyske", a Danish TV news channel featuring Rasmus Fischer who curated the awesome "Believe the Hype" groupshow which opened last Thursday in Aalborg at Galerie Wolfsen. You can hear Rasmus and myself talk some arty farty talk for a few minutes or so..

First exhibition of 2012 is approaching and opening very soon!
Today I just finished the last of 4 brand new big paintings I´ve done for this groupshow entitled
"BELIEVE THE HYPE".
It´s curated by Rasmus Ejaas Fischer and takes place at Galerie Wolfsen in my hometown Aalborg, Denmark. I´m super stoked and very happy to start working with this gallery and also to be in this lineup of artists!
Show´s opening this Thursday February the 9th. the doors open at 17..
We will have a BLAST for sure!

For some time now I´ve been in good contact with Berlin curator Uwe Goldenstein.
Recently he offered me representation in his "BSA", Berlin Selected Artists, team of artists!
I´m very pleased by this, very nice line-up of artists, high level of skills and seems like something that could turn into good fun!

Felt like making a December update today..
Put up the smashing collaboration piece I did with my main man SNIK, tip top notch stencil artist from the UK. Find it as the first piece under "Works 2011". It´s for sale as well even. Put up contact info on my good man Rasmus Ejaas Fischer from Denmark, Rasmus works as my agent in Denmark and he works as curator at Galerie Wolfsen in Aalborg.
I will be attending a curated groupshow in Aalborg at Galerie Wolfsen opening February the 9th, curated by Rasmus Ejaas, entitled "Believe The Hype". Works are in the making at the moment back home in Berlin, BIG pieces, new styles and schemes. Below is a snap little detail from the upcoming styles. Will be having a double SOLO show at Galerie Wolfsen later in the autumn 2012!!!
So lot´s of Denmark action next year. Wonderful!
Amsterdam, more Istanbul and some Paris is in the mix at the moment, let´s see how it all adds up later on..

Got home last night from 10 amazing days in ISTANBUL!!
- Was a funny story how that whole connection came about..
Mr. Oktay Duran, founder of the "Art - ON" gallery, was in Paris. He grabs a stack of new art magazines at a random shop at the airport on his way home to Istanbul. Sinem Yilmaz, assistant in the gallery flips thru the pages in the new "Graffiti Art" magazine, where I have my 6 page profile. She likes my works and introduces the work to the others in the gallery. Emails are flying back and forth for a few months and there I am!
It all ended up in me going there on September the 7th. to prepare fresh work and do a window-showroom wall installation for the "Crossroads" groupshow (just added the flyer in the "flyer" section) last Saturday, plus participating with more new work and doing a big live painting at the "ArtBeatFair".
Wonderful ;)
- Next up in Istanbul is the "Istanbul Contemporary" and in January 2012 I´m doing my first soloshow there!!

All this would never had happened with out the help from the wonderful:

Was in Denmark for a 2 man show on September 2nd, which I was very excited and happy to put on the walls at Gallery Tom Franke. Curator Rasmus Ejaas Fischer came by during our days there and hang the works like they should. Was a truly awesome show, very nice and bright show-rooms and a most cool and funny opening!

Jakob Tolstrup I´m super excited about this show for a couple of reasons, -it´s a new very cool gallery to work with, I´m back in Denmark with works, it has been a long time since the last time plus now doing an artshow with a friend whom I painted graffiti with 8 years ago is mega good fun and also cool to see where our styles have gone since artistically.

We´re half done with the year 2011, time for a half way wrap up of the year..
The spring 2011 has been really really rewarding for me, so many good offers, so good shows I´ve been in and all the sweet, wonderful and amazing people I´ve met around the world!
Only one word to say: wow!
I´m truly thankful for all of this, makes a boy here smile even more :)
2 new sections:
I will make a new section for showflyers, this you way can keep track of where I have been with my works, where I´m going next, where and who else was in the show and so on.
I will also add a new section for "Walls", a few good ones have been made the last months.

Put up 4 new paintings today, respectively 2 from the "Public Provocations" groupshow at the Carhartt Gallery in Weil am Rhein in June.
2 from the "Rudimentary Perfection" groupshow in Glasgow at Recoat Gallery in July.
I added a "Prints" section. The one I made with Base 23 is up plus the original painting as well.

Back from 14 days in France with a monsta update!!
First one week in beautiful, hot and very welcoming Paris for my soloshow at "Galerie Itinerrance" entitled "Elevated, Looking Down From A Distance".
Next was one week in Brest, vest of France, chilling, painting in the sun, bbq´ing and drinking beers with my good homeboy Fin DAC and all the lovely people, artists, photographers and friends, behind the mural project "Crimes Of Minds" we are involved in out there!
Amazing times, definitely going again.. uhmm.

Here´s todays upload with the 13 brand new paintings I created for my soloshow in Paris. Check them out to your left in the colomn. I spend some insane consentrated time the last 2-3 months to get it all done. Never painted do much in so less time before. The outcome was real pleasuring when they all were hung on the walls at Itinerrance! Yea! Goodie feel ;)

Seems like 2011 will be one hell of a year, so far at least..
A lot of bookings have been made already, and the year has only just begun ;)
I´m excited!!
I will as soon as I get more detailed info post a lot more about what comes up for spring 2011 action.
Teasers.. - the PARIS soloshow, London, Bristol, Strasbourg and Glasgow.
But for starters, this Thursday I go to Düsseldorf for the collab show with my man BASE 23.
The show is entitled:

and opens this Friday at "Pretty Portal" gallery in Düsseldorf at 19 hours.

I will be showing with my good partner "Base 23" here from Berlin at "Pretty Portal" gallery in Düsseldorf this March 2011, vernissage Friday the 25th! We´re in the proces of picking a title, prepare new works and roast the finest Döner for some Düsseldorf hell raising over there.. if you from that area or close to, come by for sure and celebrate!

Autumn is here!!!
Berlin gets colder and more chilly, I find it quite amusing though, I like the connection of sharp sunrays and that freezing cold air. Lots of contrast there.. a bit like how I paint.

It´s the month for STROKE.03 here in Berlin!
Will be so exciting to see the outcome of Stroke edition 3, after the great succes the Intoxicated Demons, the guys who arranges the Stroke artfair, had in Munich for the first 2 artfairs!
